Two of the six API 610 VS4 pumps are pour level depressant pumps which would possibly be 18m in length and the opposite 4 are methanol lift pumps which are 10m lengthy.
All of the pumps have PT100 temperature sensors that have been designed and constructed along the length of the pumps to monitor the temperature of each bearing individually.
The 18m long pumps incorporate a supporting system of brackets that Amarinth has designed which attaches each pump to its tank throughout installation guaranteeing that as the pump is lowered into the tank it stays perfectly aligned, lowering vibration and put on throughout operation.
Once assembled, the pumps were independently witness examined and certified by DNV at Amarinth’s facility in Rendlesham, UK. The pumps have been then disassembled into 3m segments and shipped to Singapore where the FPSO (floating production storage and offloading unit) is being constructed.
The pump delivery and set up needed to align with the FPSO build schedule. Because of the size of the pumps, they needed to be installed into the vessel’s tanks by way of the deck earlier than one other deck above the pumps might be constructed. The first phase was completed successfully over the Christmas interval with Amarinth’s Engineering Commissioning staff supporting the customer with the set up and commissioning.
The FPSO might be positioned in the KG-DWN 98/2 area, roughly 22 km off the east coast of Kakinada, India. The vessel is designed to provide up to ninety 000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and have a 1.3-million-barrel storage facility. It might be equipped to deal with the monsoon circumstances prevalent at the field.
