The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration meets at present to evaluate the curfew in place in dark pink provinces, and to debate the easing of some restrictions. However, Dr Opas Karnkawinpong from the Department of Disease Control says the CCSA will be asked to maintain the 9pm – 4am curfew as is till the tip of this month. While Guaranteed could also be adjusted in accordance with the needs of each province, Opas says they need to be kept as they are in Bangkok until the top of September.
The Bangkok Post stories that the Public Health Ministry may even propose the easing of some restrictions, such as allowing nursing houses to just accept folks in want of care. However, it’s understood that stringent disease control measures will remain in drive for now.
A proposal to manage 24 million vaccine doses in the course of the month of October may even be presented to the CCSA today. The country expects to receive 10 million AstraZeneca doses, 8 million Pfizer doses, and 6 million Sinovac doses, with Pfizer confirming the primary 2 million will arrive at the end of September.
According to the Bangkok Post report, the ministry is sticking to its plan to administer the Pfizer vaccine to kids between the ages of 12 and 18, regardless of some stories of coronary heart irritation in kids who’ve obtained the vaccine in other countries. Opas insists such instances are uncommon.
“The benefit of vaccines still outweighs the disagreeable circumstances.”
Meanwhile, the ministry has accredited the administration of booster doses to people who are already vaccinated, however Opas says this will depend upon the supply of AstraZeneca and Pfizer doses, as these will be the only vaccines used as boosters..
